There were a number of positives to take from the budget last week. The previously announced extension to the furlough scheme, the measures to assist the self-employed and extension to grants and loans which could provide lifelines for small businesses and individuals.
The announcement of a £520m Help to Grow scheme for SMEs which will be launched this summer is a further boost to help businesses recover from the pandemic.
